besides a pointy or 74 chevy bumper, what would you recommend for a 75 caddy. 76 olds seam welded? any other recommendations. 76 Olds are good bumpers. I wouldn't be afraid to run one on a Caddy. As stated, flat Newport would be good, I would also add 74/75 Monte Carlo would be near the top of my list.

I believe that Chevelle bumper is the same as the Malibu bumper of the same year.

Needed a quick answer?
You know what would have been much quicker than posting a fragmented sentence and waiting for a reply?....
Reading the very 1st post of this thread that states what cars will be covered and are good cars.

No, they are tin.
Anything older than 1973 is just a tin bumper with no backing, and 73 only has a few that are OK.
So if anyone has any questions about any bumper older than 1973, the answer is They are not good for derby use.

Just thinking out loud here... But has anyone else thought about using an 03+ Vic stub in a shocker tub?
I realize it seems very odd considering the Vics are full frame, but if you could pull the belly rails in, I think you could almost bolt it in the stock Mopar body bolt locations.
Along with it, use the whole front suspension, including the torsion bars.
I'm just not sure how much "drop" the shocker compared to an 03 has at the "S" curve. Might affect height somehow?
Idk, maybe I'm way off my rocker, but in my tiny brain it seems like it could work.

Should be a 12 bolt rear end. Yes, they are very good.

I think those are 3" wide, most rules only allow 2.5".
We got some 48"x2.5" from either a newer body style S-10 (94?+) or some type of import truck. Can't remember exactly. Sorry.

I believe so. I imagine either to clear the steering, middle crossmember, or axles.
I ripped that 73 apart, but can't remember what would be in the way.
