^^ No. Although I'm not a huge fan of 76 Impala/Caprice bumpers, they are still much better than 76/77 Montes.
74/75 Montes are within 1 or 2 of the top of the bumper list.

Cheater111, did you run that car yet? If so, do you think it helped?

I wasn't getting defensive or anything Stromi, just trying to explain the situation. That is one problem with the internet, you can't tell the tone of someones voice. lol
Alex, I had a 73 Rivy that I parted out. Coulda swore that it had a boxed frame, but I could have EASILY been wrong. Way too many head injuries. Lol

225/Electra/Limited are all the same. To your question earlier, it also could be a Lesabre if it's fullsize. Im not sure on the 71-73s but I once bought a 74 Lesabre thinking it was a Deuce. They are definately not the same in 74-76. The center section is boxed in on the Deuce, and 98s, and roundbacks. However... the 88s, Bonnevilles, Impalas, and Lesabres are open c-channel in the center section. I would guess that the same principal was applied in 71-73 but I dont know for sure because typically, I dont run them. I said Limited/Electra/225's were the same, not the LeSabres. He asked earlier about the model of a Buick, Millertime didn't list LeSabre, I was just pointing out it could be a possible option. Sorry for the confusion. Also, you left out Caddilacs and Rivieras (I'm probably forgetting something too) for being boxed. How could you ever forget them!? Ha

^^They are the rail road bumpers, they are fairly tough, but are kinda skinny for my liking.
I've always thought about stacking 2 and welding them together.... Not sure how most promoters would like that though. Lol

How much of a headache is it cutting a couple holes in the post? Seems like that could be the biggest P.I.A.
I do like the idea of it though. Bruised kidneys suck.

Not a problem C4. I personally think 59's have the best looking front end of all the 58-64 Fords, would absolutely love to restore one some day.

Dumb, but simple question. Car is 200+ miles away. 59 Fairlane.....full frame or unibody? Up to 61 they are full framers. Pretty sure 59 was the 1st year of the Galaxie name plate, so it may be marked as a Galaxie Fairlane.

Thanks dm440c, I knew their was a smaller pattern for the A bodies, but did not know exactly what it was.
Only reason I knew that is because I found some in an old junk yard that were smaller than the Vic pattern. The old man who owned it told me they were off a small mopar of some sort.

^^^ I wasn't calling you out or anything. I just like spreading the small bit of info I actually know. Lol
You are very right with the rust. Kid I went to school with had one, it was rotten. You could lift the bed off the frame with a guy on each side.... :-p

^^ Never personally seen those, but it seems like the mini truck 6 lugs are general pretty thick. Try them out and let us know.
Just on a side note, it's not a Chevy Love, it's LUV which stood for LIGHT UTILITY VEHICAL. They were produced by Isuzu. They were kinda neat little trucks that were available with diesel motors.
