Look at my Facebook page or my website, Destruction Addicts Derby Products. For GM's we have a weld in sleeve for both the uppers and lowers and then the good Moog screw in ball joints. Take a look and let us know, be glad to help out, thanks

If you use strap to weld the A-arms down to gain height, will the front suspension normaly hold up to the abuse, or is it better to have tge front end a little lower and not have so much stress on the front suspension parts?

when its welded solid down its harder to break the upper ball joint.

Anyone know a part number or vehicle to use while looking up 3/4" universal tie rod ends? Does anyone also know a supplier?

I know people use after market ball joints to make their front ends strong but I was wondering if a guy could just replace the upper and lowers with a grade eight bold that was welded to a plate that's was welded to the a arm? You would probably have to machine your spindles. Just wondering if it is doable or will I run into that annoying and quite common phenomenon of "unintended consequences". I run old iron gm s. Thanks in advance.

Grade 8 will last a little longer, but it breaks when it lets go. Grade 5 will just bend.

Maybe I'll try grade 8 on one side and grade 5 on the other and see what happens. Thanks again.

So, you guys that run rear brakes only...obviously you remove the calipers to gain clearance. Do you also trim the cast mounting tabs off the spindles then as well? How much can you cut off before it affects the strength of the spindle?

I always cut mine off, never know if I'm going to run 12 inch rims or 14 inch rims and it's easier to add plate straps to the sides and beef up the tie rod mount.
