The astro vans have the small shaft and splines like mid size and metric cars you can use these boxes on the full size old iron

Any body ever chain down rear of 73 impala until frame is level? I've got decent bumper height I wanna keep it level as possible. Is this a good idea?

Does this work for the chevy's too? or Do I have to do something dirrerent. Looking to remove booster from a '77 pick-up to make room for stacks. eliminating the brake booster - take the booster & master off the car, separate them - take off the plate that is between the booster and the firewall - match the master to the big hole in the plate, drill four holes in the plate, bolt the master to the plate - bolt this to the firewall - separate the two halves of the booster, remove the pushrod from both halves - connect the one half to the brake pedal, figure out how much longer it needs to be in order to mate with the master and have the pedal where you want it - measure and cut, splice together - don't forget to put in some kind of stop to keep the pedal from swinging back too far and pulling the rod away from the master

And the answer to my question is yes. Fact even a easier I think. At least on a 77 truck.

yeah, I don't see why this concept wouldn't work for lots of different cars & trucks. When you boil it down all you have to do is push in the piston of a brake master cylinder.

I'm gonna replace factory rear coil springs on my 74 impala to get ride height up but what is the best spring to replace it with? 1/2 ton truck 3/4 ton truck. Looking for any help, i need to raise it up 3 or 4 inches and stiffen it up some. Thanks

Anybody simple not run front shocks on old iron? It is a stock class so it must be able to bounce, so I can't really weld it in place. I really see no benefit of it besides a bit more strength....

When you eliminate the brake booster is the braking of the car weakened? Do you use a different master cylinder or is the stock one good enough. Is changing the mechanical advantage of the pedal necessary or possible? Just wanted to know. I am building a round back and like good brakes.

I have a preran 73 impala. Needs ball joints and tie rods. I'm looking to beef it up a bit. Could I use parts from a truck to make it tougher? If so what truck/ year?
