That is a good idea, saves money. (the mustang header thing). I hate to go buy a new set of derby headers, when I am not sure if this is a class I am going to want to run, but I am sure I can find some cheap mustang headers.
and you new car looks nice!
thanks

As I said don't really need headers for a stock efi motor with plastic fenders removed.A big hole in the hood won't hurt either.

it dos make sense, but I am a little bit of a red neck, I love the sounds and look of headers I also have asked the promoter if I can put the 5.0 EFI into some of the newer Vics that came with the 4.6.... rules say ford stays for, fuel injected stays fuel injected..... so to me it should be ok. If this is the case and I can keep using the motor, I would invest in headers, if not, forget headers... (and if I can do a cheap set, why not....)

I'm with him,I leave the dash in all my cars, unless I'm building a full cage. Why take it out? I've probably derbied close to a 100 cars and most had the dash in.

For me it depends on what rules I am running, for stock I leave the dash in, if I am aloud a dash bar the dash comes out and the bar goes in. I figure there is more important things to put my time into.... and time always seems to be the killer... there is never enough

The 91 in pic had a junk 4.6 (lack of oil)the motor is from a 89 town car from last year. It's next car is a 96 merc marquis.
