Because it ran great. Then I moved sensors a nd it wouldn't idle, then I sprayed maf with carb clean ran better but not its back to running like garbage. If I punch the gas to rev it up I have no throttle response, I néed to just ease into the gas, don't spray MAF sensors with carb cleaners,, its bad for them,, check for any air leaks after the MAF and before the throttle body,,, thats called "un measured air"... how does it run without the MAF,, ? any time you change stuff,, disconnect the battery for a few minutes,, than connect it and start it,,, thats called "adaptive stratagey".... the computers ability to learn the values of the sensors,,idle speed,, fuel mixture,,, .......................lenny

I moved the sensors back and it ran better but was still stallin sometimes but I may have figured it out, I am pretty sure the fuel pump is on its way out so maybe not providing ample fuel pressure to the engine. I hit the toggle to turn it on and it took a bit to come and sounded weak. So I gonna throw a new pump in her and see what happens

that could be a problem to address also on the 4.6 there is a pressure regulator on the fuel rail aswell thats vacuum operated make sure its not disconnected/broken. on my fuel cell took the pump out of the car and made a hanger for it and installed the pump directly inside it. very nice setup and with only 2 wires coming out of it directly to the battery with a switch. this way the stock pump provides the right amount of pressure.

Check your fuel lines for kinks or restriction .We switched to a external in line pump, with a boat tank. added "t" at vent for return line. Pumps $80 @ o reilly auto parts, works fine . Now we just swap whole set up .

that looks pretty good,,, more tips,,,use a chevy radiator,,, no coolant bottle needed... cap off small hose in the lower hose connection.. If you don't use an air filter,, put some 1/2 inch chicken wire over the MAF so it doesn't inhale no chunks...... I even left the PCM in the stock position,,, It never crunches there,,, duck tape the master cylinder resivoir on,,, did you loop the trans lines ? make sure wires don't get caught in the throttle linkage ...

Out my fuel pump in yesterday, helped a bit. Fpr is good. Unplugged the maf and it seemed like it ran better so whatever, think she will be good enough. Still gotta move the edis module.
What are you using to block off the smaller hose from the bottle,? That it will actually hold pressure and not have it blow off

I used a black iron pipe nipple with a cap double clamped in the hose.

Not sure about the maf. But I would run a air cleaner, to help keep the water/mud out of it.

invest in a cone style filter,,, you'll use it many times on EFIs

I was messing with the 92 Vic yesterday again, still running shitty. It idles perfect but once you give it gas it spits sputters and cuts out. All sensors are stock location. You guys got any ideas? Could be shitty plugs? Old gas? I'm at a loss, not sure what else to check

I'm at a loss, not sure what else to check start with secondary ignition.... look for a miss fire,,, bad plugs,, arcing boots,, Is the firing order correct ?.. don't tell me your using old gas,, how is the fuel pressure ? try a different MAF sensor,, ...............................lenny

I am going to throw a new set of plugs in it tonight. It's not old gas but its not brand new fresh from the station. I also have a spare maf from a buddy I will try tonight. Do you know where the DLC is on this thing? I can plug my scanner into it and see what it's doing.
