Imo the 74s are the better bumper but what i like about the 76/77s is the way the mounting plates mimick the 76 Impalas in that they connect the main center part of the re-enforcement to the lower part and the skin.

I haven't messed with the midsize bumpers much at all but would it be worth the effort to load a 76 nova and seam weld it to run on old iron full size? Got a preran Electra that somebody ran with the stock front and it's headed south.

Just wondering if a 75 caddy front bumper would be and good for the front of an 80’s Buick wagon. I have the opportunity to pick one up fairly cheap.

Probably not, they are very thin in the middle. Definitely better bumpers out there

Are the bumpers that are on the wagon any good? I believe they’re steel backed. I can’t load them

I just looked over the rules and I can load them. The shocks can be compressed and welded then the bumpers welded to the shocks or I can hardnose. The car will pretty much stock. No welding on the frame except for bumper brackets

Are 76 Buick century bumpers worth pulling Depends on what your paying for it. Imo any mid 70s steel bumper is worth at least $50 just for the fact its steel and can be loaded.
