None of the 1971-1973 Impala/Caprice Bumpers. All of them are junk just tin bumpers with no backing

take it apart... weld the seams ... put it together weld the seams top and bottom.. beat the outer skin to the inner skin weld that seam .. then mount it upside down .. lotta work but they are cheap bumpers i had one that was ran on a crown vic, a 80's gm wagon , a truck, and finally on a 80's merc (3 runs) 6 runs total before it was JUNK.. here are some pics Not fresh but after 4th run after 6th run

Just about any loaded bumper is goin to be a tough bumper ..as for the pontiac bumpers they are the same as a 74 chevy when you chuck the inner skin in the garbage and put what you want back there

Just bought a 78 Olds 98 for 80's hobo. It has aluminum backed bumper. Do any of the metric GM's have steel bumpers that will interchange?

Found a rotten old '74 Grand Prix at a junkyard this weekend. The front bumper is steel backed with almost no factory holes in it. It is somewhat pointy and the owner said he wanted $50 for it. Does anybody have any experience with this bumper? Would you recommend loading it or not? I will probably use it on an Explorer or midsize car. If it won't destroy mu frame, I'll probably pick it up. Thanks.

I pulled the front bumper off a Olds 98. I forgot which year. Is there a difference? Kinda skinny bumper with vents and extra chrome on the bottom. Three studs to mount to bumper shocks.
