Are 77 Monte front bumpers worth a damn? Or should I spend money on buying a different bumper? Stock show Stock show they are worth it but will give at the turn signals.

Is a 73 Catalina bumper equal to the 73 olds 88?
I have both (fresh) are they worth running seam welded only in a limited weld type show

Not really ^^^^ Can stuff but anything stuffed is good... Maybe for one or 2 runs on a stock build.

Ive heard 73 Rivvy bumpers are a decent bumper, but how do they compare to like a 74 Monte or or 74 Impala? They are decent. square back not really rounded like a impala or monte. Left alone or skin welded down they usually crack. Stuffed they are awesome and wide for good mounting and decent point on them...

cheezwhiz31 Do they crack around where you mount them on the frame, or where they go from flat to a point? Im was thinking about running this on a 75/6 Caddy. Im only allowed to seam weld but Im allowed a 6x6 x 3/8s plate to make a pad to mount to the frame and didnt know if that would help the cracking issue.

flat to point and push the rails out. Unless you can get the plate to cover that area i'd not put on a caddy.

Depends on what kind of '73 Buick you have. '73 Buick Riviera bumper is the best '73 bumper out there IMO. Is there any truth to this? I have a 73 Buick Riviera bumper I want to run on a bubble vic in stock class. It will be hard nosed to the stock frame. *Edit* I just seen your guy's post right above mine sorry I was reading beginning to end. Still my Question stands I suppose. If it cracks in the middle at the point maybe weld in a piece of angle iron to hold the point? But again this is for bone stock so maybe it will be fine for that purpose.

10-4 will do. I have had this bumper for at least 6 years and never ran it because I assumed it was junk. I was looking at it last week and it doesn't look too bad for a 80s and up stock derby.
