I'm seeing guys weld the face of a 15" rim onto a 14" rim and had some questions. If got a set and had the small bead protectors welded on would i have problems with the lip bending?
I run street stocks and was thinking about trying to get a set but wasnt sure if the lips would bend and pull the tire off the bead. We cant run full beadlocks and too much weight anyway but the lip plate is ok.

I would do it, would keep the tire a bit more protected. Circle z sells 14 inch blanks for $35

So got my rear jigged tonight (9 inch with full spool) and I’m too narrow. My rims won’t fit on. They are a stock steel rim with small center, however they do fit if I flip them, which I’m leaning towards doing. Anyone done this before? And or how’d it go?

What's special about the buick century rims?

So I narrowed a buick rally and was going to narrow a second one as well and run 5.50s on them this weekend but 2 guys I know that have ran many more years than me are saying they're junk. Are they really that bad? I already put my 5.50 on the one that's done

I love Buick Ralleys on stock builds. They bend pretty easy and seem to be easier on stock suspension parts.

I have mixed feelings. They are soft to an extent but ive seen probably 13 sets break and crack instead of bend to

We run a bunch of them. Yes they are soft. Bend easy. I lost a wheel , lug nuts were left on rear-end, ripped thru wheel.

I myself have ran a few sets of them.
I guess if you don't mind having to swap tires every time because your rims are tacos it's not so bad.
I think they are softer than plain stock steel rims.

I've heard to washer the lug nuts bc them rims are bad of being ripped off the 14 rally an 15 rallys but saw many people run them.

I put washers under 3 of 5 of the lugnuts. Ive welded small centers in a couple Buicks and they welded in just fine, I dont know about the rumors of them being pot metal. Ive never lost a due to a rim either. But I generally only run bonestock and limited welds.
