The cheating at big money shows is as bad as the teaming and sandbagging. I have too much integrity, and mostly not enough time, money, sponsors, or friends to even attempt to compete anymore at big money shows. I switched back to local compacts. Cheap easy fun. And nobody is plating their frames or have protectors to protect their protectors.

I have been running compacts lately because of all the reasons mentioned.

Anybody know any tricks or set ups for a 2001 Chrysler Sebring 2 door with a 3.0? What is your question? What are your rules?

Got a 97’ accord, anything security wise? Also is there anything I shouldn’t cut on the wiring Unplug. Never cut anything.

By buddy ran one bone stock against full sixe cars. He actually didn’t do as bad as expected. A good cage and leaf pack would have made a huge difference. Some people build the 75-79 Sevilles. It’s the same car with more chrome. I think it comes down to the rules and builders budget and abilities

I have not. I’ve always used factory transmission coolers from the junkyard off trucks, vans, limos, ambulances, etc. My best setup is from a F350 and it has an old honda civic electric fan on it. I have never had the budget to buy cool stuff. I have always made my own.

I have had a few injuries over the years. Nothing permanent. And gender likely would have made absolutely no difference. If you get hurt in a derby it it’s typically from safety not being first and foremost. I run a neck brace, a good helmet, and shin guards. They are retired baseball catchers guards. Id imagine motorcross stuff would work too. Gotta make that your seat belts are good. I typically run four point harnesses when I can. And after braking my hand after a shit ton of derbys I finally recommend duct tape over the steering wheel. Proper padding in the car is extremely important. Never underestimate the power of an old seat cushion, a pool noodle, and or some duct tape and zip ties can provide

Powder puff derby’s got alot of women started. Many through family and friends helping them get into any car. Compacts are a cheap place to start. Highly recommended. However, I have driven against enough talented woman drivers in my career. That car doesn’t care who is driving. Motorsports in general have proven to be a level playing field when it comes to gender. I have nothing but respect for the lady drivers. I will hit them the same as anyone else. The cars, track, etc are equal for everyone.

The SRS system is not attached to the engine harness or PCM.
