Hey I want to see this show thrive again. I enjoyed the day when I was worried if I did not send in our entries the day it opened that we would not be able to run. Now I think I would pay when I got my car done. Constructive criticism will do this show good. I am absolutely not afraid to say anything that I saw or did personally to my car. Integrity is the word of the day. Integrity makes a guy load his buddy and keep the bigger picture in play. A lack of integrity makes a person turn a blind eye. The definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over and expect different results. That's why I jumped off the I need buddies to run with me from out of state bandwagon...how do we ever get better than 5th or 6th if we never beat on the top 5 cars....by that time their other side deals have already hurt our cars. I have nothing but respect for all of the drivers but I will say what I was told by stromi and what I go by now. You can spend months building a badassss 2nd place car, but until you decide to beat the guy who is in first you will continue to waste your time. So either be the best politicking person at the derby or poke the damn bear.

Friggin send it!!! I have a few issues with inspections and unenforced rules. But I will be there next year just to piss someone off. I have no plans to compete for second place like the "buddys" do. Obviously they are content finishing in the top five. They do it year after year after year. If you want to be the man, you can't be scared to junk the man. Do you think he will send it. Lmao. This ain't my first time getting hurt on a trackshot either. Just this time I was going even faster

Was not able to attend this year but did watch online. There were less than 30 tbtc cars. Did a bunch of guys get loaded again or was that all there was? Demolition Missions posted a couple prelude vids of Bash in 2014 and 2015 and if you watch them there is just row after row of old iron cars...hundreds of them in fact. Now that's been 3-4 yrs ago and obviously cars are harder to find now days but im not sure if that's the issue or if its the other things that guys are talking about with "half a$$ed inspections" or "the buddy buddy thing" or the "who ya know" thing that is turning guys away. Maybe the old iron #s have been replaced with other cars from other classes. Maybe its a little of everything but whatever it is its just sad to see. I just know i always watch the vids Mitch posted and shake my head every time cause you will never see that amount of well built old iron again anywhere and coming from a 25+ year old iron guy it sucks and is sad to see.

There are bigger numbers in other classes, but I think overall numbers are down too. Pretty much all the classes used to fill within a month and they'd turn people away. I imagine the TBTC numbers will be down even further next year. If there are 25 cars and 4 of them are Braun's wagons.... it gets pretty tough for anybody else, especially when there are a number of other cars that won't hit them either... I don't understand the "not hitting them". Are they scared of them or buddys or wtf?

"I have said this for years: FRIENDS CAN NOT INSPECT FRIENDS CARS !!!!" Depends who it is. I don't think Bill would bat an eye about loading a friend if he needed to. In most cases this is true though. 100% agree. I have seen it first hand. Bill has a great inspection crew. They might miss something once in a while, but they're honest about it.

I don't understand the "not hitting them". Are they scared of them or buddys or wtf? Growing up in derbies in Ohio I found there were a lot of "buddies". Being pretty much a loaner when I go, I never had the buddy system. However, Jojo, Stromi, Team FTS if you all want to tangle with the Brauns, I am IN. I have a grudge against them from about 3 years ago that still tastes bad. I had a grudge against Ziz several years ago and settled it at a county fair! Got him cornered and was able to lay over a control arm. Junked my stuff doing it, but I said to myself he isn't going to win this one! As far as inspection issues, this isn't only a smashit issue. If you look hard enough, you will find something at every show no matter what. I have always been told it is competing not cheating.

This show definitely has plenty of issues to be dealt with(hopefully) but I had a great time this weekend. It was fun thrashing to get hotpursuit69's car back together for the compact consi. First time I've ever had to figure out how to get a bumper back on, at the track, in a time crunch. Unfortunately he was plagued w/ clutch issues. Even though I've said I'd never run another smashit show again, its tempting to put together a RWD to go knock some axles out of a Wbody.
