Is it as simple as taking old style 302 pullies and putting them on the newer one or is there different years that will work?

Anybody got a part number for the HEI I would need to convert my 1985 crown vic. I know there is two different sizes, one for older tbi 302's (which this is) and one for newer EFI's. Wanna get it right the first time.
Also, do they make an adapter to put ago 600 cfm Edelbrock carb on the original intake? I dont have a Holley, I know those bolt on direct.
Thanks ahead of time.

I'm unsure of the part number for the distributor, but if you were dead set on a carb adapter you could use a generic 2bbl to 4bbl adapter. I would why against it though, in my mind that big carb will stressing the the adapter when you are hitting. The motorcraft/autolight 2bbl also bolts right on and out here any way there are still tons of them in the junkyard.

It's not as simple as just swapping over to view belt. Not to mention that the video belt crank pulley has a different number of bolts to the balancer than the serpentine.

Anyone happen to have a belt number for an 80's 302 serpentine belt, belt will go around water pump, crank and power steering only.

Just google Skip White HEI distributor. They're like $50 and we've never had any issues with them

How are the 80's trannys I've only lost one trans and it was in the suicide at the fair after I lost rear brakes. You will like the 302's. Ok I'm looking to put a ford 400 into my 65 thunderbird but didn't see anything about these motors are they good or just anchors. What needs to be done to them besides timing set and intake. I'm looking to get good torque and quick throttle response.

What are good donor vehicles at a pick-n-pull to get 1.7# roller rockers? I have a stock 302 from an 87 vic, would i also need taller valve covers if switching the rockers? I have to pull my intake and heads since i have coolant settling in a cylinder when it sits for awhile so i might do a couple easy performance upgrades.
Also GT40 or GT40P heads? Is one better/more durable than the other?

I’m new to building engines and swapping transmissions and have very little knowledge about it which I want to change that and I need help . I have a 1984 ford 3.8 232 I know it’s not in the small block family but it resembles a baby Cleveland in stance. And is a 5.0L minus 2 cylinders gets 232 displacement (3.8) The 3.8Essex has the same bell housing as the 5.0L My ? Is can i put a 1990 Ford F-150 transmission that’s connected to a 5.0 efi and put it into my 3.8? Thanks in advance
