Bought a 351w that has about 30k on a rebuild. Has flat top pistons, very mild can, and stock intake. I have a edelbrock rpm intake and a set of gt40p heads that will be going on, my question is what cam would work best with that combination? Also considered leaving the current cam in and seeing how it worked with the 1.7 rockers but since it's going to be apart anyway I would rather do it all at once. cant go wrong with a comp 268

I currently run a 302 converted to carb from a an 87 crown vic. The ps pump is low and always close to the steering box. I want to get it up higher. What relocation bracket kit would you guys recommend? Something that would work with the stock pump and preferably cost effective. There are several options from a google search I just don't know which is what I need. I do run the alternator as well but could live without it if it causes to much trouble.

I've been curious about this also. I loose a pump probably every other run or so

For a nice cheap solution it might be worth going to the local u-pull it and grabbing the accessory brackets off a 5.0 Explorer or Mountaineer. They have the p/s pump mounted nice and high, along with the alt.

If u convert from efi to carberated what kind of fuel pump should I use. Rather use an old style mechanical pump than electric if possible by the way it's a 5.0 motor in 86 lincoln town car

Does your timing cover have the opening in it for a mechanical fuel pump? If not, you can modify to fit, I ground the opening out. The cam also needs a fuel pump eccentric bolted to it to run a mechanical fuel pump. Some FI engines have it and some don't. Does yours? If not, it can be bought.

Tried to weld nut couldn't get stud hot enough nut kept breaking off. Instead weld old intake bolts to them got them both out. I need a better welder just 110 with gas

What is the water pump part number for one that brings the inlet to the passenger side? I bought a gates 43049 but it interferes slightly with the harmonic balancer and timing maker. All the bolts do line up.
Engine is a 302 out of an 87 Vic that has been converted to carb and hei.
Our is there a bracket to relocate the power steering pump up a little higher?
I am just trying to get the belt further away from the hose.

I have 1-2 times but had enough tape on the hose that it didn't rub through. I am just going to stay with the stock pump but try to find the right bracket to raise the power steering pump up. That was it doesn't get hit/cracked by the steering box and raising it will get the hose by the belt a little better.

Ford explorer has a higher mounted power steering pump than the vics. Got to change all the front accessories tho.
