Sorry in advance for the stupid ?s but this was the first time even looking under the hood of one of these. My brother bought an 81 lincoln with a 302? in it. Where it is in the owners yard we need to get it fired up to move it in order to load it. Went to fire it up and nothing. Wanted to fire a little when I sprayed ether in the carb. Almost no gas coming from the stock line (assuming bad line) so I hooked up a derby tank and a 4-7 psi pump. There's two injectors in the carb. When I turn it over should gas be spraying from the injectors I assume? Not sure what they run off. I had ok spark with a plug I brought. He lives an hour from me so just trying to get ideas before I go back up. Thanks.

I'm not trying to be the guy that says throw your stuff away and get something different, but I would get rid of that CFI injection and a regular Ford 2 bbl bolts right up to the intake.
I've never tried getting a CFI to work, but I bet 4-7 psi isn't anywhere close enough pressure for the injectors to spray properly. That CFI system is extremely similar to a GM TBI setup.

I ran one car with CFI and it let me down twice. I'd carb it if I had an other one. I've ran lots of efi cars with good results but CFI sucks.

I picked up a 302 not sure what it came out of. Has the multi port injection on it not realy sure what it came out of. Question is it does not have a starter looking for another one but I was going to get a cheap one on eBay and says it won't fit all 302's with auto trans how will I go about picking out the right starter?

Try to get the number off the block that will at least give you a year it was made.

The year isnt the concern, there are 2 different tooth count (157 and 164) plus auto and manual variations. Just tell the parts store that the motor is out of a 87 vic and I bet you get the right one.

Problem I got they want $100 at the parts store I can get one on eBay for $40 but will be a pain to send it back if it don't fit. I know nothing about this motor so don't want to buy a $100 starter just to try it.
