So just wanting your opinions on the trunk I can flat stack up to 7 leafs and reposition under frame rail. But can't decide if I should build a short stack and tuck the trunk or build a long stack and v the trunk. Just wondering your thoughts. Short leaf and tuck. The trunks suck, you need to get it to roll or else they just get shredded. My first one with stock a stock leaf setup bellied way worse than my second with a nice 7 spring stack and different shackles.

Gtp must be 3 inches from any sheet metal I am allowed 2 vertical 2 inch bars down to the frame from the cage.

With those rules I would run some thick walled 2 inch tube to right in front of or on top of the shackle

How important are the firewalls on these I'm wanting to slide my motor as far back as I can but would have to cut firewall to clear steering linkage. Just don't want to ruin this car on something simple as that

I would assume you don’t have a dp? We’ve never cut the firewall out of one but I would assume it would be ok as long as you didn’t get crazy with it. Since it’s unibody I’m not sure how it would go

Just don't want to ruin this car on something simple as that Firewall and trans tunnels offer a ton of strength on these cars. Swap over to a front sump oil pan and keep the firwall intact. Imo thats the best way to do it.

Ok so instead of cutting out the firewall I have decided to reposition the crossmember tubeby flipping it so it curves forward instead of back can this cause me any structural problems

I think that should be fine

I think that should be fine X2, long as it's welded up good I don't see it being a problem. Center link is only about an inch away from the back of the tube engine crossmember so that still may be a issue but adjusting that out of the road is easy.

I’ve never seen a bird really nose before, they more so just blow apart. Actually they just loose steering just like every other old for ever which is why I wouldn’t cut firewall.

Out of curiosity what is the difference between a 59 tbird and 59 galaxy? The front frame looks the same from what I saw?
