neither, they fall under 58-66 Thunderbirds. Completely different than a galaxie or suicide. people on here are pretty tight lipped about them or nobodys really built one. I'm buildling a '64 right now....areas i'm concentrating on: need to fabricate new leaf shackles and junk the stock crap, add as many leafs as rules allow, 4 point cage with down tubes welded to floor & gas tank protector, weld frame seams under hood (i'm allowed to per rules), BOP brackets and shocks on front and I'm welding a 74 impala bumper to those, canoe/crease/shape trunk lid and rear fenders. Those are my main areas of concern so far....

What do you think about after you unbolt the stock front bumper brackets, run the bolts back in tight? Might keep farme together a little longer? I can't weld the frame seams.

get yourself a pointy with the shocks extend them out the whole way and get to welding....the car will not bend from the front bumper to the center of the rear axle. From the rear axle back is straight trash the trunk plain out sucks you wont be using the back anyways, Id go nose to nose with a sui any day of the week with a old t bird

Would it be better to hardnose or weld some shocks up?

Would it be better to hardnose or weld some shocks up? both....hard nose then weld the shocks onto the side of the "frame"

If you can, cut the suspension and pipe that mounts the motor and put a k member out of 79-81 R body under it.

them old t-birds have a stout frontend.seen many win features in the late 70's to late 80's bone stock...Also it is nice to see something different compete at a demolition derby nowadays.People get sick of seeing the same make of car only at a derby.

Just curious are 60 -66 frames all the same? Some people are telling me yes and some no. Could all be answered if I found a couple a looked but that's the problem! So a little a comment would be great.

First of all, all of these years were of unibody design. 1960 has a dip in front if the A-arms, and the body was boxier. '61-'66 is straight from the A-arms forward, and the rails are taller. However the bodies had a slimmer shape. Correct me if any of my info is wrong.
