So I have a 1965 Ford Thunderbird I'm looking to build it from limited weld rules 6 on 6 off all door scenes hood and trunk as well as weld the top frame scene from firewall forward the rules are go Derby rules the floorboard on both passenger and driver side are rusted out I can patch I'm going to move my Leafs underneath the rear frame rails and flat stack up to 7 leaves I'm going to hard-nosed the front with bumper shocks down the frame rail I'm thinking of running a 350 with a DP protector pushed up against the firewall I'm going to attach my leaf spring shackles to my roll cage to help keep the back end straight I'm allowed a two by two pipe from my halo bar down to my trunk lid as well as down bars from my halo bar to my dashboard I'm going to run regular trailer tires with an extra skin on the front and skid steer tires in the back I'm going to run the 9 in with 410 gears am I missing anything or any little tricks to help make this car competitive any and all advice is more than helpful thank you

Spindle swap is a must.

Is there a stock spin del that works or do I need to get a hold of a fabricator?

Is there a stock spin del that works or do I need to get a hold of a fabricator? are you allowed homemade/fabricated spindles such as joker or ski? Limited weld probably not but there are spindles that would work

Is there a stock spin del that works or do I need to get a hold of a fabricator? Pretty much any spindle out there will raise it up. Tbird spindles are really short. 70's ford, box vic, old iron gm. They will all raise it some.

Yes I am allowed manufactured spindles and I'm glad there are plenty of options out there for me. So know that we have the height of the bumper addresses any other issues to look into? I feel pretty good that I have addressed the issue of the firewall pushing back with the location of my car internals

Put a nice solid set of leafs under it, attach well and let her eat. I don't know what kind of bumper your using but pointies look cool

The firewall doesn't roll/shove like other cars do. It's much lower....right where the tunnel and firewall meets there is a ridge in the firewall from Pillar to pillar, that's where they go. And yes pointy is the only way to go on a bird. Last Bird I ran inverted a clean seam welded pointy. In a no protector 10" bumper shock show.

So they won't allow me to run a Chrysler pointy. I can run any other bumper I want with bumper shocks and 1 foot of frame patching. Or I can build my own bumper with strict mounting rules including a plate from the bumper to the front of the a arms counting as my 1 foot of plating?
