When tilting at crushbox, I did not need spacers at the firewall body bolts but I did at the core support.

The way to cover up the cold bend I'd trim the back of fenders to where your going to be welding it. This keeps the fenders straight like would be factory so you don't have to run spacer an when you go to bend frame use a big plate in top of jack or jack will put a dip in the frame. If you move jack through oUT the center section to get frame to sit straight I think I had went 9 inch to get mine straight but that was on preen an did it with 3 lift points on center. It all depends on how low the rearend sits on how far you'll have to take the frame to be straight in the front.

Hey guys, I have a 03 Vic and I’m gonna tilt for the first time . I just wanna make sure I’m doing it right .
After reading, I’m planning on tilting at the transmission crossmember by cutting. Should I do this directly at the member, just before it , am I over thinking it? How much should i tilt it?
Also, for the aluminum engine cradle, is it as easy as just cutting it out and welding a 80s Vic cradle back in?
Thanks, it’s a big show and my first

Weld cradle in before you tilt, or leave aluminum in while you tilt to keep rails even. Take a pie out of the bottom of the frame about an inch back from the tranny crossmember. Then get a level and tape measure. Measure measure measure and weld her up
