3 methods I know of back close to the cross member... right before the crush box cut those welds and reweld it... and the frame rail that runs under the doors and connects to the crush box cut it right before the crush box and reweld.

When you do it by the boxes just cut the tabs on both sides and let the front drop. Measure to make sure both sides dropped the same amount and then reweld the tabs. When I do it by the crossmember I go between 18-20 inches back from the back of the boxes. Cut a pie out of each side of the frame and let it drop. When I measured the boxes were 1 inch lower on each side after the front went down. Then reweld the cut and put your angle iron in for your crossmember. I think I have a pic so ill post it later. Any other questions just pm me.

here is one that I tilted by the cross member. I cut halfway up on both sides let it drop. I then measured by the boxes and front frame rails to make sure it dropped the same. Then just weld up the cut. after that weld your angle iron in for your cross member.

when cold bending at crossmember can you do it while motor and trans is in? or does it need to be before motor and trans are dropped in?

You can do either. The weight of the motor/tranny will actually help the drop.

How did it do? do u have any after pic? Thanks the picture in my signature was after my heat. the one on the trailer was after a hard hitting feature. if i wouldnt have broke steering it would have been a top 4 car instead of a 6th. It was a hard front end.

I have done both coldbending at the crossmember and tilting at the box and prefer the box way. This actually makes the frame straight from front to hump if done correctly. JMO
