More likely for the back to go up if the roof is pushed up as well. It has less strength that way. Hammering the quarters down may help too.

Yup, roof up, quarters down. Same in the back window, roof up, gate down, and a couple healthy dimples in each frame rail.

2.0 is plenty reliable under heat. If it has a manual behind it, their quick on the track too.

Yea so is the 2.2. I have ran multiple times with no water. Also I have never had a 2.2 stop on me and I have probably ran a dozen of them and so have alot of other ppl I know. I'd say either one is good but if I had a choice I would go 2.2. I would probably run what ever one is in it though not worth swapping on a cavy wagon IMO.

The engine has a bent valve so it either needs rebuilt or swapped anyway, that’s the only reason I asked lol Plus I’ve been trying to find something to do with a pre-ecotec 2.2 that’s been in the garage for months

Reading through I believe I know what all I need to do as far as electronics are concerned. I'm leaving the dash, but going to unplug all lights and crash sensors from front and rear of car (not cut) and then cut the one wire on the ignition correct? Also, I have a "homemade" fuel cell that I was planning on using with this, will that cause an issue if its using a fuel pump from a different car? Wasn't sure how finnicky these cars were with that. Worse case I can pull the stock tank and use it and the pump as my fuel cell.

I have a online pump I use. If it has auto trac make sure you unplug or cut the abs sensors on the knuckle

I have a 2.0 in 84 cavy wagon, and it sat for a couple years. It’s runs on carb cleaner but the throttle body won’t fire, doesn’t sound like it’s trying to spray? Fuses look good, can’t find anything else wrong. What could I be missing? And if I can’t figure it out, how hard is it to carb it?
