Stitch welded the Kammback seam, small straps from there to bumper, Duct taped spring clamps, sucked it down to where there was almost no arch left in the springs, chained humps, and welded the halo to the floor right above the spring perches.
Welded the bottom of the factory core support in, and the frame seam a-arm forward, driver door solid, passenger door stitched.
Used a Ford 200 with C4 and a mildly braced Ford 7.5 with 3.45's
Modified the steering shaft a bit. Lucky for me, it has a factory manual steering gear and factory manual brakes.

Slight kink right behind the pass side bumper bracket. Will plate that. Got the front end stood up and solid...brought bottom of the Vic bumper up to 18.5. Will see what happens.

I have a 69 rambler wagon. From what I can tell it's closest to the gremlin and hornet than anything. Tossig around the idea of either running it or selling it. If I run it I'm gonna put a 4.3 in it. Anybody have an idea of what it takes to get it in there? Anything I should look out for. Thought i saw somebody a while back put one in a gremlin but can't seem to find it

^^^^^Mine has a 4.3. Homemade motor mounts & it fit in pretty easy.

C4 do you have pics of how you did the mounts? If it's not too much trouble.

Yeah looking at the pictures in the thread it looks like it fits in there pretty easy. Espcially since these cars came with a v8 I didn't think it would be a huge issue. What did you use for a trans and driveshaft?

What did you use for a trans and driveshaft? Metric hydramatic and homemade (spliced to mate GM trans to Ford rear). Slightly modified cable floor shifter out of a 3.1 Cavalier. Shift pattern is backward but it works.

Yeah I'm planning on using my th350 and just figuring out how to make some driveshaft work with the stock rear end. Or have a Dana 44 out of a cherokee I might throw in.

Little bit of free info here.
If you have a drill and a grinder, an 80's GM spindle can be pretty easily modified to fit. Almost exactly the same height with similar angle on the tie rod arm. I don't know yet if they are any better, but they are certainly easier to find. The one I just installed is out of an '80 Lesabre. The AMC brake line will thread into the GM brake hose also.

You could make something like this to weld onto your axle so it could work in amcs and mustangs. neratdemo.com/shop/rearend/coil-leaf-kit/BTW the rambler I ran last year had a foxbody 8.8 in it, and I made brackets like that. It's way easier using grade8 5/8" bolts to mount the rear end than finding u bolts that will work. I'll try to get a picture or two. cool if u can get a pic that would be great gonna go look at the car if the price is right ill have another one in storage thanks
