ALL of the steering & suspension and radiator if it has one. The hood & fenders might be a little long for the 77-78, but I bet you can make them work.

3 biggest things I've learned with mine... Replace the rag joint with a u-joint....they will bend right behing the steering gear & rip that rag right right out. I don't know when or if they switched to rack & pinion. U-joint off an Astro van column has the right splines to mate to the Gremlin box. Chain the humps. There is a fairly stiff plate under the floor right above the rear axles that works well for it. If you can do it....weld the lower core support to the frame, or it will rip out. Do you happen to know what year astro van that I could get that u joint off of? Thanks in advance

I have also since learned that a double jointed slip shaft from an 87 Jeep Cherokee also has the same splines.

Awesome! Thank you guys! I'm sure I will be having more questions along the way. This is my first amc build.

I just acquired, a pre-ran Gremlin, unsure of the year, but it still has drum breaks in the front, and the front bumper shocks looks like a smaller version of a gm shock. My question is, the humps have kinked a Lil, and I was wondering how to prevent that from linking any more, If I straighten it out the best I can, and weld the allowed plates for my show for frame repairs.Which is 4"x4"x1/4" one per Conner of frame where needed. Can't chain humps all-thread shocks may pass, unsure though. Depends on who inspects.

C4 FYI I got a 78 and it does not have a rack and pinion. Has disk brakes and the gear box steering stock.

I have had a couple hornets pass through my hands but have never run one, so I am not qualified to answer that one. You picking up a 2 door, 4 door, or a wagon?

Other than getting front coils off a an AMC with a V8. What other car coils would fit? Trying to run a semi stock show and can't weld suspension.
