Anyone know if 3.8 stacks would fit a 3.0?

Don't have any but DEC sells 3.8 stacks and wanted to know if they'd fit my 3.0s that I have I believe they have the same block so the manifolds should be the same, but I wouldn't waste time with a 3.8 anyways.

Don't have any 3.8 but have 2 3.0s and want stacks and DEC only sells them for 3.8. I thought they look like they'd fit

I would almost bet money the DEC's Ford 3.8 headers are intended for their rear wheel drive 3.8's. Not even sure they would be the same for a fwd.
A quick phone call would settle it. 937-634-5009

If they are for RWD then they will not fit. The set I have is a half inch from the valve covers and still only an inch or so from the radiator fan. Back side has all kinds of room. If I didn't have a set I'd just run two pipes up from the manifolds like everybody is doing on the 3100's. Kind of sucks burning up 5 fans on one car. Just looked at the ones your talking about and I'm willing to bet they are for RWD only.

Pm cheater22x he might still have a set of dec 3.8 stacks. I could probably meet you in Oneonta with them while I was at work if he still has them. I would just do the pipe on the end of the manifold method like the gm 3.1s

I need 3.0 stacks and can't find any but found 3.8 stacks which is why I asked. I tried flipping the manifold but its a downward angle so manifold hits front core and stuff

Anyone ever put a pointy on one of these cars? Just wondering if they could handle one.

Anyone ever put a pointy on one of these cars? Just wondering if they could handle one. I have seen a pointy on one before and it was fine, but it was a built taurus. Not a stock car... The fronts on these are just as strong as the luminas and people put pointys on them all the time. Make sure you collapse bumper shocks, or even better use 80s ford bumper shocks and get bumper close to core support to fasten it to everything possible.

Ok I built a 2001 ford Taurus for this summer just a stock show.. Something I noticed and need to get rid of is when u are in reverse and floor it and are spinning the wheels or anything like that it's as if the car has a rev limiter or cut off of some sort... I don't like it at all... Any ideas on how to take care of it ??

Your choice....rev limiters are there for a reason in EFI engines. Usually you can get moving in any car without hitting the max rpms every time. I'd suggest to look at better gripping tires?

Or a little more control over the right foot.
