Good bumpers to load. They have no backing though.

How would a 89 diplomat hold up with rules where YOU ARE ALLOWED A 7 LEAF SPRING PACK, 5 CLAMPS, 2" STAGGER ON SPRINGS. YOU MAY ALSO CHANGE YOUR 4 FRONT SUB/K FRAME BOLTS to 1” diameter can crease rear quarters add 10 bolts per wheel wells weld doors/trunk 6 on 6 off lower engine cradles 4 point cage with down tubes to body only bumper swaps rearend swaps engine swaps.can change rear 4 body mounts out and replace with 1 inch all thread allowed 10 pieces of double stranded #9 wire from bumper to bottom of trunk lip. Can't tie the sub to the car

I like to remove the upper control arms and mounts and drop the whole mess right out of there, makes it easy to get the rubbers out without fussing with a sawzall. It will all bolt back up without the rubbers no problem, nothing will hit.

Is a mid 70's gran fury bumper too hard for the front of a 5th ave for a stock/no weld show? If so what would be a good one to put on?

Depends what year. 75 or 76 shocker gran fury would be great. Cars are pretty tough if you can keep the hits square

I do this as an automatic on these cars no matter what kind of build it is so I take it for granted that it will be gone.
