Anybody run an Aspen wagon? I found one I need some parts off of for my 2 door and was going to let my son derby the wagon when I'm done. Have ran a couple, a friend ran one just last year. I haven't quite figured out how to get the back to do what I want. They like to dump out under the rear seat where the frame rails terminate so this last one we notched heavy on the frame and roof. Result- it folded way too fast in the back and STILL dumped out under the rear seat. He bent it back down and 9 wired the floor to the roof in a few spots and it did better the second time, but it kinda depends on rules I guess

I'm looking for opinions on the matter of leaf springs. So is it worth it to run a 8 3/4 with a wagon leaf pack over the stock rear end? Its about 7 leafs one is a helper. I guess the question really is should I trash my nice set of leafs for this car? Its so stout on the rear end I had to tie it down to trailer just to get shocks on it. The rear end sits at 26" or so. Oh and I'll be running against imps and vics

i wouldnt put that stout of a leaf pack in it, most likely tear the car apart around it. Id want my springs to have a little give and flex.

How hard would it be to drop a sbc motor and tranny in a 1979 Chrysler Lebaron?

Anyone know what length of a slider I need in a 86 dippy with 727 and 8 3/4? I dont have rear end in to measure off the yoke sold out and have to buy another slider. So wanna know length so I can cut it down short enough and wondering if it would still be long enough to use in a shocker after being ran in dippy with same set up. Thanks in advance

I can't comment on the length exactly, but used an E2 in mine that I had already cut down for a vic. Worked fine in a full framer imp after I cut it for the vic, and then went in the dippy and still had room to collapse. Take that for what its worth. This was also with a short shaft turbo 400

I would call your promoter and get the okay before you go to far building a car. I learned to drive in a 64 biscayne... it was a 6 cylinder car. I doubt it would be considered leagal in a 6 cylinder class. I think they are hinting at V6 cars here. But! ya never know... call the guys putting on the show and ask them directly.

I might of missed it but i found a 5th Avenue in my local junkyard and was wondering how the front bumpers where on these. Has a slight point (6-8 inches). Or are they just junk
