is there a advantage of running in set rims or does it not matter ? The offset or inset of the rim is usually decided by how far in or out you are comfortable with the sires sitting. It usually has to do with how wide your rearend is, if you are running front brakes, upper ball joint/spindle position, etc.

would it be save to say that running inset rims on the back would save the axles shafts

Can you run aluminum wheels? You could, but personally I wouldn't. Steel bends, aluminum breaks.

Is there any decent chrome small bolt chevy pattern rims out there? Dont wanna go through the process of welding centers in the SS wheels that I have that already have small ford/ big chevy patterns in them.

Thats what I thought, but i'm mostly just finding aluminum ones. Guess I could always go with the small bolt pontiac ralleys. Just didnt know if anyone knew of any direct bolt ons.

The Poncho rallies are not bad. Many on here will say stronger than the Buicks.

Just finished a derby today. Finished 5th in a round back because both front rims got bent enough to stop front tire rotation and the backend dug in on a soft dirt track.! My question is there a way to stop this from happening besides running ss rims? Some guys run with no front calipers but that sounds a little scary. How about grinding down the calipers?
