Just because it gets asked a thousand times SS rallies are 15x7 and they come in chrome or painted on late 80s to early 90s Chevy trucks. The chrome wheels have one inch more offset than the painted ones. They are 5x5 blot pattern with 6 oval slots in them.

Eldorado and Tornado wheels with fit RWD housings if they have the 10" brakes. Tucks the wheels in a bit when using a full-size housing in a mid-sized car. No other practical use. 5 on 5 pattern from 71-78.

so the "ss wheels" are just regular 1/2 ton chevy 2x4 wheels? asked a buddy last night and he told me that the truck wheels were different (thinner) than what everyone was running

The SS style wheels are made different and the two pieces of metal meet at the outside lip, not in the center like standard wheels.

Buick ralley wheels are good for stock setups. They will bend but they take the stress off axles and such. I've run lot's of them and have only had a couple get tore up real bad. Just depends on what your looking for. If you want a decent wheel that will give a little they are good, if you want pure strength go with steel or ss wheels.

Plated wheels? Isn't adding centers enough?

I don't even know how you'd plate it to begin with
