Ended up cutting bracket apart and re-welding it the correct way. Place he got it from had it all messed up. But with the redoing of bracket it works just like its supposed to.

Have you asked the guy that made the shifter? Typically they are pretty helpful getting you dialed in on how to install stuff. And usually if that doesn't work, they will go out of their way to make it right if it's a part error. I'm trying to not be one of those bash a product maker people but from the beginning he's had nothing but issues with this guy and ik alot of others had started having issues dealing with this particular brand of products when he ordered it and its been a bit of a nightmare from the beginning.

Alright I'm going to start off with I never run gm so don't know anything about how aftermarket stuff is supposed to be put on. So the problem I've got is my cousin has a 305 with a 350 trans and he purchased a cable shifter from a gentleman that makes derby parts and for the life of us we cannot get it to work. So does anyone have pictures of how you're supposed mount one of these because we've done everything the guys we know who run gm have told us to do and nothing is getting it any closer to working. In my opinion the guy who made it messed up on the brackets and the shifter but I could be wrong.

You should need 1 bolt and 1 nut right I've never seen one that didn't need two bolts. You actually had a trans with a stud in it? But just go buy a couple bolts and bolt it up nothing fancy i cant ever remember what size they are i think a 5/8 wrench fits them if I remember correctly and only need to be a couple inches long

I've ran them on mine. It doesn't take much modification but as far as a direct bolt on no they don't just bolt right on. Not a real big issue to make them work. Just a little torch work and had mine swapped in like 15min and they held up through 2 hard derbys

Id go with a 9in instead of a 8.8 jmo though. Had a buddy run a 50s Ford once. From what I can remember tierods are a weak point so if you're allowed id swap them out. Not sure what rules for the relic class allow. But set rearend to pack as much as possible without ripping leafs loose and id recommend hardnosing idk how good the bumper brackets would be on one of those. And thats about all I remember from that build and it held up pretty well really

Not without some modification but you can definitely use them.

Step 1 of a blizzard bash cage- acquire steel Step 2 of a blizzard bash- don’t stop welding until all of the steel you acquired is in the car. Stacked 4x8 for side bars and the rest of this to take up space, should be a decent start. You sure thats enough? Lol

If I were to actually have a motor built it'd probably be a gm of some sort but like I've said and others have said parts are cheaper and easier to find especially derby related parts haha. But I don't see me ever doing that my stock mopars haven't let me down yet. My 360 is peaced together with used parts from like 3 different motors and still just hums right along like a champ with the rest of them lol

We only run mopar motors and honestly every run I've lost a rad and never had a problem. I mean there's a reason guys used to only want mopar engines they take heat better but the reason most have quit is because gm is just cheaper to work on plain and simple but thats jmo
