Being 79 is the transition year for lincolns if it's an old iron style lincoln and I could put 4 plates in front of the firewall 2 would be over the idler arm holes. Ok I have a question as where to put my second plate and where id want to place my hump plates on a 79 Lincoln continental.. my rules state im allowed 4 plates on the front at no bigger than 4"x5" x 1/4" thick I know where im going to put my first two at before the a arms but we have a new rule that allows us to run kickers 3" behind the a arms so im wondering where should I put the other two im thinking on the spring pocket but idk..and second question is im allowed 14" long by 1/4" thick hump plates but not sure as to how I want to run them allong the humps so any ideas or personal experience would be helpful thanks Jw why would you put them there

can't be a 63 because the LA 318 never came out till 67. Your right I hadn't even thought of that haha...im not 100% sure the second number was a 3 but im pretty sure it was....I was just thinking it might be an older 318 because the oil filter mounts facing the rear of the car or is that just wrong thinking?
