Does dry ice make your frame stronger? Only if you wrap it in plates of steel.

And weld it in place with about a quarter mile of .045 mig wire

Does dry ice make your frame stronger? Won't do a thing. Steel won't go through a phase change at those temperatures. Steel won't change phases until around 1300 F. How hot you get the steel and the rate it is cooled can change the steel structure. If steel gets hot and is cooled fast, it gets hard but brittle.

I heard one last year inspecting cars at a show I just looked at the dude and was in awe... He asked if we looked at so and so's car cause he hooks a battery charger to the frame rails and the electric current changes the molecular structure in the frame to make it harder when rubbed with diesel fuel??? Wtf some people just need to say no to crack...

I heard one guy this year got caught with a flux copacitor in his car, he made it to the end of the derby with out a scratch then finished off the second place car. I don't quite no how he made it to 88 mph but he did.

Oh hell you hear all kinds of chit... Definately. I have heard somthing similar to yours about somone who heats their frame and then dumps oil on it to quench it. It may be truthful I don't know but I can't imagine it'd be benificial.

I wonder if people just put this stuff out there to see if someone will try it so they can laugh all the way home. Hey here's step one get dry Ice, step two screws to fasten it to your frame, step three win the derby, step four it looks cool celebrating when doused with mud and water. Wait wouldn't the mud and water just make it so foggy while the derby is going that you couldn't see or maybe other people couldn't see since they are distracted by the cloud of iron coming at them.
