If you really want your tank protector to act as a kicker, I think you might want to beef up the mounts at the door bars. Otherwise your seat bar will be in your back. Add top and bottom gussets to your disassembly brackets.

you plan on pulling the body off or leafing the rear/internal hump plates ? ran a few back in the early 90's on asphalt then the mud. pissed off a few local roundbacks going rear to rear and there $hit hit the ground.

And hump plate would be added for a later show. We do a trick that has worked wonders to rear arch.

Alright so my house is sold as of friday. Everything is moved that's why I haven't posted any thing. So with that said I'll be building on it more now.
But body mounts are in minus core support and started getting quaters done. Ready to roll it on trailer to pressure the frame to weld in down tubes.

74-77 Monte Carlo or Malibu front bumper upside down is the only way to go IMO. It changes the leverage game 110% on these cars.
Rear-end width is 58" from backing plate to backing plate, same as full size 71-76 GM sedans.

car185 you know the rules its going to now so leverage won't be as much of a worry. Plans changed of where its going so now its getting hump plates and 14 inch long 3/8s bumper brackets. Also four 4 by 6 plates on fresh, then as it bends another 8 more plates. Probably going to swap bumpers now atleast to loaded maybe something with small point to deal with them 70s caddys. Looked up how the vacations/float trips and family plans fell into place and I can get more runs with it with them rules. Wish I had a i lug built for it but ill stick to my 9inch under it.
