I did not see a single bad heat this year, it would be a really hard to top the bash this year. The tbtc feature was awesome, both of the big money classes were entertaining to watch, so I would not recommend any big changes with those two classes.
I liked how the 80s wire classes were one shot deals, I don't think a heat and feature setup would work out as well with regard to sandbagging, because the cars are stocker. So I would not want any big changes with that class setup or the rules.
The 70s wire class is always awesome to watch, the only rule change I would recommend is allowing slip shafts, it would make it more entertaining. The cadillacs and suicides are awesome, but I saw a couple of the impalas and Buicks drop driveshafts as they began to nose up, and begin to drive harder. Plus it would give the 410 and 409 a little competition for the mad dog ( and 1st place lol ).

I have no idea what happened with the compacts this year.... Those things were so cheated up it was silly. I enjoyed watching the compacts with the new format last year, but they were just stupid this year. enlighten me on this. I think they were all built very well .some just took more time and different ideas

If you not friends with the smash it crew you will not get the over look and get all the cheating through jmo This is the exact reason why I will never attend another show.Back in 2009 I went to help out a couple buddies that ran.We were pit'd dead beside a well name driver/builder.They cut on the frame for 2 hours straight to pass inspection. After they passed, came back to pits and rewelded every dam thing they had just cut.Needless to say the car never bent and they took home the money.

How did that happen if car is impounded after inspection The cars are only impounded if they are inspected before Saturday. Once you get your stick at the inspection building (on Saturday), there is nothing preventing you from driving back to the pits, doing some beneficial work, and then lining up for the heat later. Saw more than a few cars with inspection flags already taped to the post being worked on in the pits before the heats began. Not saying there were welders buzzing on all of them, but it shouldn't be allowed at all IMO

I can't remember who it was, but it was on a non-mustang foxbody I believe. Couldn't believe when I saw they had a flag flying.... I say "square tubing structure", because I don't know what else to call it... I guess a pulley protector..... protector. I was really disappointed... I thought the compact class last year was the best thing going in compacts, then this year it seemed like it turned into another dumpster competition. I don't care how well built a foxbody is, you can't hit with one for 45 mins. and the front still be straight without a lot of "extra" work... Especially because they aren't even allowed steel bells or trans. braces... You must have not looked last year BC they were on cars as well. I don't have a problem with the rules, to me they already favor the FWD for the most part and I run rwd. If they go any softer a rwd won't have a chance. 3 rwd took top 3 but they were junk at the end and they was being conservative with their cars. I ran, had a good time and have no complaints. But that's just me.... Be back next year

Well if you ever see me hit for 45 mins and my car is still straight I promise you it AINT legal I don't care what you build I will bend it in just a few mins full track shots tend to break stuff so keep this in mind when you see a guy get on the gas 2 foot away vs 200 ft away

enlighten me on this. I think they were all built very well .some just took more time and different ideas Well, I saw one car that had a square tubing structure welded from the engine cradle that ran all the way up to the radiator support... I think that probably says enough right there... half of those luminas looked like they had enough tubing sticking out of the hood to build a jungle gym. Most of of it running from firewall to the radiator support. I know there allowed full cradles but good grief.

Especially because they aren't even allowed steel bells or trans. braces... Might have went over his head with the "non mustang foxbody" thing. It seems like most of the drivers and inspectors don't have an issue with the "extra work" done to the cars so it is what it is.
