Is there any other cars that have the same intake or is there away to carb a 4 banger for these cara I've been looking at the intakes for a PT Cruiser I believe they have the same flange and they wrap over top of the head of the motor. Have you had a chance to make the swap yet cause I'm thinking of giving it a shot but wondering if everything hooks up as it should and if it will run with the pt cruiser intake before I wast the money on one

So the original fuel rail would not fit under the pt intake? I can only imagine the amount of room left in front of the engine, do you have an idea how many inches it is from the radiator to the intake now? Also what did the intake and fuel rail cost you?

Well my radeator support is twisted and I dont have a radeator but there's alot of room. Mine was free from a guy I know. I will say there is some work to do idk if it has to do with the damage i took with the old intake or I have to mess with a few things to make it idle it reves and seams to do fine on the gas but off the gas it will die but it's worth the work just need a little more experimenting but it runs the 30th

Well I got two good runs out of mine. First run only got 6 out of 7 in a one and done do to a dumb shot and the crappy intake. Run number two was heats and a main 10 Cara each heat top 7 went to the main I made it through but wouldn't shift out of park when it was time to back out for the main. These cars are way better than most give credit for when built right even to stock rules there grate I wouldn't run any other car only problem I have had was the intake if I wouldnt have made a bad shot I wouldn't have hurt the motor and I'd b able to get atleast one more good run out of it biggest weak point is the intake on the 2.4 but if swapped for a pt cruiser intake and you keep a bumper to n the front you can use the front and back all night long. I would post pics of the car but my phone dosnt let me

Ran a cirrus with the 2.4 Monday night in a stock show. First in my heat and won my feature. Then I brought it back out for the 6 and 8 cylinder king of the hill. Radiator got busted and it overheated and shut off but still took 3rd in that. Afterwards it fired up and I drove it back to the pits. Motor was knocking from the day I got the car but it held up. Tough cars for sure

Plastic two piece I want to find an aluminum one to try and make a carb set up for next year if I can Ok so I decided a had to change my intake but since I built headers I wasn't sure if the pt cruiser intakes would hit them so I bought the lower half of a pt cruiser aluminum intake and just built a box to house the throttle body, vacuum lines and sensors. It works but likes to die when sitting idle. And I love the amount of room left up front now.

Looks like there was a sensor in your air box that possibly needs to have intake air passing by it.
