if anyone would remember it was announced if you had a seat marked off with a blanket or anything else to remove it that its first come first serve plain and simple it was announced several time trying to be fair to the ones that aren't spending weekend there and not getting there til later. btw ross county fairgrounds would be perfect place to move it too in future reference for they have over 4000 camp site and 8 hotels and 6 bed and breakfast. just a thought and a note on compacts I saw a lot of mustangs and amc get junked by them luminas this yr pretty hard cars in nose just saying but easy too put out if driver don't know what he doing! I saw a lumina drop the ass of a pacer that was built like a sh*t brick house, im sure yall will figure out how to beat them

As a board member of the Fayette County Agricultural Society I would like to respond to the comments about moving the venue. The fair board is very happy to host this event and we hope to host it for many years to come. As the event grows from year to year we have added to the needed facilities. Last year we added more restroom trailers, showers and bleachers. We are planning to add more of those for next year as well. More camp sites will also be added to accommodate to the increasing crowds. The community of Washington Court House welcomes all derby drivers and fans to this great event and is looking forward to Memorial Day weekend next year.

My only complaints are have the water truck keep the dust down in the camping area a little better it was horrible last year the water truck only made one trip that I saw back to the camping area and lightly watered.Next would be golf carts 4 wheelers atvs side by sides etc make a curfew like mid nite gets pretty old faslistening to them run all nite

We can run the water wagon as much as needed. Thank you for the suggestion. I will bring up your atv suggestion at the next meeting.

And I'm sure if there is some way you can pull it off, most folks would pay a few dollars more for those prime track side seats. IE. You buy seat A1 A2 and A3 for $25 a day instead of $20, but those are your seats. Kind of like a concert venue

For the rules in the TBTC DERBYTEES.COM class And the 80 and newer DERBYPARTS.COM class for welding down A arms the rule should read
2. Upper A arms may be welded down BY FOLDING DOWN THE A ARM AND WELDING TO FRAME WITH NO METAL ADDED. OR YOU MAY USE a ΒΌ" X 2" X 2" piece of steel on front and back side of upper a arm and you may plug weld the center of the A Arm DO NOT WELD A ARMS TO FACTORY MOUNTING BRACKETS. lower A-Arms may not be welded. You can change out the new style A-arms For old style ones. Cars do not have to bounce. Solid suspension is allowed.
For the compact class you can weld one seam from firewall forward top side only.

I was referring to a county fair show they promoted this fall. To my knowledge there wasn't a single compact that had to cut anything out of roughly 20 cars. The W body that won had 1/8th inch diamond plate for door skins and 1 1/2in allthread for rear struts that went up through the floor and trunk lid. He battled for probably 10 minutes against two very well built pacers and his car looked the same as when he drove on the track. boom61 i don't want to be disrespectful but the fwd guys have feared the rwd guys in compacts for many years. Our hometown fair promoted by Smash It banned rwd 3 years ago because the only cars winning were amc's and mustangs.we fwd guys have spent alot of time and effort figuring out how to keep axles in,rear ends under our cars and how to keep a fuel injected motor running when it gets hot. it has taken 5 years and alot of cars to figure this out. i feel the rwd had the advantage in the beginning because you were able to use all things from big cars and can't appriciate the work and engineering we put in these fwd cars. Very well said, RWD guys shoudnt be mad because we have figured out how to build a strong car??? Build to the rules and choose your car wisely...
