I have never done this...But I did use porta powers to straighten Cabs on rolled rigs before we had a frame rack..i own 2 high quality 10 ton sets

On certian types of builds porta-powers can be used for installing engines, tilting, transmission crossmembers, cages, rear window bars, pre-bending, gas tank protectors, etc. You are only limited by your imagination.

Pretty sure your not gonna get much about this topic What's your prerogative of posting this? Seems like people don't want people to know from what I'm reading lol. I'm thinking this would be most useful around humps? Just a shot in the dark! Maybe somebody will be awesome enough to call me right or wrong... Ha

If you own a 10 ton porta power and build one car with it, you will wonder how you ever built a car without one. Its no secret, you are only limited by your rules and your imagination. If you need to pull somthing together you use a ratchet strap, come along, etc. If you want to push somthing apart, you use a porta power. Its not any secret if you work on cars for a living, its common sence.

Come to think of it, they have rams that you can buy that can be used for pulling also. There is no "big secret" A porta power is just another tool on the shelf like a hammer, drill, or torches. Its what you get creative and do with your tools that is what is not frequently discussed in open forums.

Im just not sure what the question was because I don't know what he is trying to achieve, but a porta power can likely accomplish it.

I believe he wants to put the floor against the frame , while still having the body mounts. I believe they have a porto power designed just for this job...its at my local steel yard..Its a touch hard on most everything though

If allowed build your cage then before put the tank protector in put porta power between seat bar and back piece of protector and push it tight to frame then weld together then with protectors on engine you can pull the front down some and use a porta power to shove motor back weld in release chains pulling down and it should only flex alitte and have your engine tight to firewall or dash bar
