^^^^yes my buddy did his that way and melted his pistons airplane fuel burns way to hot No it doesnt. Its also a poor fuel choice for anything not in the air.

110 is a waste of money unless your pushing some ponies. That's a load of bull! There is other benefits to running race fuel than just higher octane. Like what?

Engine runs cooler but not much Mr NASCAR! P.S. ball joints worked great thanks!

Engine runs cooler but not much Mr NASCAR! P.S. ball joints worked great thanks! Do you know the only reason it would run cooler? Its not the fuel burning cooler. Its the difference in mixtures between gas and race gas. If the carb is properly jetted for pump gas and you start running race fuel you are actually running rich. Rich fuel air mixtures run cooler. If you were to dial the carb back in the temps would be exactly the same. But you would be giving up HP and TQ if running timing for gas. You can get some back by advancing the timing but your still paying more and losing in the end.

Most race fuel simply will not mix very well with pump gas.

Rich is what you want in a demo unless your engine stays cool mine don't! as for HP who cares what little you lose i would rather be running at the end with a little less hp. I'll keep running straight 114.

But my uncles, brothers, cousin said that race fuel makes more horsepower.

It's as simple as this. If your in question about race fuel then you don't need it.

Well there you go problem solved! everybody jet your carbs up.

My preference is race fuel. Only because it could save my motor, or make it last enough for a win. Dumping more fuel into the engine that still will detonate at very high temps still detonates. Plus it could wash the oil off the cylinder walls. Whenever the motor starts pinging there's damage being done. So for the sake saving my time fixing or having to come up with another eng I'll keep running the expensive stuff. It takes the heat. Booster alright but it isn't the same.

I run pure korn liquor... my cousins girlfriends brothers uncle swears by it. Adds 40 horse power and detonates soooooo cold, the engine never shuts off.
That is literally what you guys sound like. How many PROVEN engine builders does it take telling you that there is no benefit to running racing fuel in low compression ratio engines before people will understand?

Does a low compression truly benefit from all the advantages that race fuel has to offer, no. But when all you want to do is change the plugs and get a piece of crap setup to work a little better there's a advantage that's gained. Seems to make junk carb work a little better too. So for a derby car that might run for a bit its alright. I had a stock 84 trans am I put race fuel in every once in a while and there was a difference. It felt like a 350 for 15 mins. But for a derby if the water is lost, like what happened to me half the time, the motor pinging from the extra heat is eating away at pistons ,could pop the head gaskets, or close up the gap on the plugs. So for a setup that could be viewed as junk could work better with a little extra in the gas tank. I've got big block high compression motor so I've got to take advantage of the race fuel.
