Without a thourough performance build internally, the sound WILL dissapoint you. Good flowing heads and compression with a properly matched camshaft and top end will be needed. Quite honestly, on a stock build engine I still like manifolds. they are designed to work with what is there. if its not built the other drivers will be able to tell and most likely you will become a target. But remember small diameter tubes will give you MUCH more noise. Kenny

The most annoying exhaust I ever had was on a 440 New Yorker. I ran the stock exhaust back to the middle of the back seat and stuck a 5' piece of +/- 2" copper pipe on it and ran it up through my roof. Holy Shit was it loud!!! Apparently the copper resonates like crazy or something, but it sounded awesome!

Hearing that motor run and knowing you're about to tear sh*t up gives me a boner everytime. They're all "loud" when you take off the exhaust and add stacks. Thanks for the video about the collector.

^^ In my opinion that doesn't really show a whole lot. Personally I don't think it matters too much if you are producing 270 or 250hp at 6000rpms or whatever. Tell me about how hot the engine gets or something like that. I'm pretty sure the performance would be a lot different with derby style 4 into 1s vs. the header that was on that engine. Might not be much different then the 4 in a rows. I enjoyed the video and appreciate you sharing, but not sure how much it translates to the track... Well, there is that whole scavanged horsepower and increased flow theory. IDK?

don't know if this is this the right place for this but I plan on buying a set of dec headers and was wondering if there was a too tall set for a completely stock motor someone told me too tall of a header it will sound like shit
