Great news, I’ll bring them home clean them up and use them then. Thanks for the reply guys 👍 we like them, seem to be just as strong but usually cheaper. wont get you any cool guy points but.... I’ll give them a flat black coat of paint. Try and get some cool guy points that way haha

If you narrow SS rims, the weld in center size stays the same correct?

If you narrow SS rims, the weld in center size stays the same correct? If you narrow it where most people do yes. You will want to take off from the inside edge of the raised bead, back toward the center of the rim, cut up against that bead, then measure in where it tapers down for the next cut. But depending on how big you cut the center hole out, it will make a difference in what o.d of center you need. If you just cut along that factory line in the center you will be fine. I always cut a little bigger hole, if you run multi center, or big Ford pattern it won't leave you much room for lugnuts.

Clamped spindle to steel barrel, able to rotate while welding/cutting or whatever you may be doing

Those welds look cold, they're humped up too much for my liking, also dont most besd protectors have holes drilled around the perimeter do you can plug weld them to the face?

Are you planning on welding them solid or just a few short welds like shown?
I would think you would want them solid, seeing as they can still bend where the aren't welded.

I have seen a tire/wheel dealer pedaling "complete" built wheels where that inner seam isn't welded at all from the looks of it

I have seen a tire/wheel dealer pedaling "complete" built wheels where that inner seam isn't welded at all from the looks of it just them being there helps a lot, never had an issue with ones that weren’t welded on the inside or with any that have smallish lengths of welds

2 inch increments, never had a problem with them Just my opinion you’re already there. I would do the whole thing. Would hate to see something stupid happen and have it bend between the welds.
