I hear u on the welding. I was gonna try and do something. I was reading online somewhere that the expanding foam would turn to powder after being drivin on. I've never tried that before do I don't know.

I have seen them use the foam on lawn mower tires and being yours is only 12" it might work but IDK.

So how well do the sidewinders work in a track that is semi muddy and with a stock motor and rear except for the spiders welded, and would you reccomend the 15s or 14s

The lug depth of the 23 and 25 14" skids is almost the identical depth of the 15" sidewinder. Most guys are running the 14" to get the rear low....

I have a set off 23x8.5-12" 8ply skid tires i want to put on a set of ford fiesta wheels 4" wide. Do you think i could get the bead down with out it tearing or will i have to try to get a narrower tire/wider wheel? Thanks

I was looking at the 14s for a smaller target and for gearing down. What is the brand and size used for the 14s? I don't wanna order the wrong ones

I had the same tires and I wouldn't recommend 4 inch rims.the narrow rims will balloon the tire out and give you a smaller contact patch and not use the full potential of the tire. I did a lot of looking around and there is only two options I found for wider 12 inch rims and your looking at $60-$80 a piece. Plus you will still have to get a weld in center for them.

I have a set that are set up with a 440 bobcat wheels and they are 6" wide and they seemed to work alright but they are still 45 a peice. I got these fiesta wheels for $10 each maybe ill look at getting some5.7x12 tires for them wheels. And figure out something for the wider tires orjust sell them.

Way too narrow. General rule of thumb is 2" narrower wheel than tire. You can get away with a little narrower rim but that rim is half as wide as your tire. Going wider is better than narrower.

Ever thought of making them wider? Nothing a little cutting and welding can't fix.

I've never made them wider. I've always narrowed them. They don't have to be perfect.

I just ordered a set of 25-8.50-14 off buzzkill , they look great under the car, watch the rim width, you will want to run atleast a 6" wide wheel, found out the hard way. But buzzkill can hook you up great guy to deal with, wont go anywhere else for tires.

It is easier to narrow them than to widen them because there are 2 welds when vs. one and more to try to center up. Make sure you weld them with the bead on the outside of the rim so you don't pock a hole in the tube. A lathe would help a lot also.
