Not all 23x8.50-14s are created equal. It depends on the manufacturer. They are all slightly different heights and widths. On a side note, I'm curious if I just had bad luck this year, or if carlisle skids kind of suck? In 3-4 runs this year I lost 3 of them. One of them had a gaping hole punched in the tread in a 2 minute run, and the other two the sidewalls were cut to hell. They seemed real soft... idk I've never ran a Carlisle 23 skid, but as far as front tractor tire and trailer tire, I will never buy one, thus I wont even try their skids.

I'll take the missing out. I've been put in a bind 1 too many times with there subpar trailer tires, and I think cactus needles are capable of puncturing a Carlisle implement tire.

We have a set of foamed 23’s that are Carlisle’s that have been good to us but my tire of choice for 14’s are the galaxies, I run 25’s but they come in 23’s also. We run supersidewalls, kirb kickers, power kings, and 550’s for steers. For 15’s for rears we use 27’s, I forget what brand but whatever, all tires we run that are less than 8 ply are doubled, we also double the 27’s. That’s just us tho.

I'm looking into some gravel tires(rally) and was curious if anyone knew what ply most of them are? They run about the same as skids and have been hearing they're pretty stiff..

Anyone have any issues with 25" Carlyle mounting on Nissan wheels? Sold a few to some guys I know and said having issues getting them up on the bead up. I told him to bring them to me next time hes around, just wondering if anyone else has had any issues

Use more lube. Not to be stupid but that's what the problem is more than likely.

See more and more folks running 23" skid tires up front. Assuming solely to be a smaller target. Anyone seeing advantages or disadvantages ?
