I noticed the rear frame of my car looks identical to my uncles 73 Delta 88, it kinked right where the frame goes from being boxed over the humps to c channel half way of the trunk. Would it be beneficial to flip the trunk lid upside down, trim it to fit, and bolt it to the floor through the body mount bolts, then beat the rear fenders down, wedging it? I'd also have my rear window bar going as far back as possible on the speaker deck. It's a stock show, but were allowed everything I mentioned earlier, including the promoter telling us "unlimited #9 wire, I don't care how, where or why you use it". If I built the trunk like this, should I mess with the back bumper, or leave it as is, just weld the mounts on? I think a wedge in one of these will probably just push all the stress towards the roof and already strange pillar design. If you can get creative with your window bars and cage though you may be onto something.

Well, I was planning on welding the cage to the frame, then 9 wiring it in 10 loops in 10 spots per side, running it up from the frame to the halo, then from my seat bar to infront of the humps, and my GTP to behind the humps. While also tying the frame rails together. More than likely I'll go full retard with the 9 wire, but it's better than nothing. Nebraska boys have been using the crap out of it for years lol.

I'd patch what's there (most think I'm an idiot, which I am, but I don't like paying big money for clean junk) nine wire the hell out of it, and build to roll. Keep your back to the wall and keep driving forward.

Fronts are hard but the back I would not attempt to strengthen at all. Just build it to roll and pack. Weld your halo to the roof and a gas tank protector and NEVER EVER hit with the back end.

I know it’s not the money end of this car but I was Curious to see what the builds are to the rears of these cars with the creasing, and wedging that’s going on this day and age. Any pics out there?
Thanks.
