does any other company but edelbrock make aftermarket intakes for a 4.3?

Have any other you ran a 4.3 in a full size car? I've seen one from Not-C Jo. But that's the only one. I figured if there was enough power, they'd be good cause they're a 6 banger.

When is a derby won because of power? Make sure whatever motor u have runs good and you have a recipe for success. Mine has 488 gears under it too. Mount one in and then look under the hood. That tells a story as well.

I didn't mean it that way. I mean it in a way as if a 4.3 has enough balls to move a full size car around all night long.
And there's a ton of room between the core and engine I'd assume.

2.73 gears in it the first time and it moved that glasshouse just fine. 488 gears and it feels like u got a little something under the hood. Lol.

Lol, I found a 4.3 for $100 on craigslist out of a 95 Blazer. I figured why not try one and if I don't like it, throw it in the junk pile. Will a 3 speed bolt right up??

Dunno, I don't know how the 4.3s changed over the years but mine is a 86 I think and a 350 bolts up

First run it lost the belts almost immediately and ran just fine without water. Cranked just like any other sbc. State fair run it didn't lose the radiator and in front of the a-arms are sticking straight up.

My only issue was finding a good carb for it. My 2g was jetted way to much and it kept loading up. Ran a stock rebuilt quadrajet this last time and it ran flawlessly.

As far as some things. Such as the heads, intakes and distributors u can change them from a 4.3 to the 3.8 aswell as the cams I found this out on accident. Can anyone else confirm this?
