When the marks are lined up, and the rotor is pointing at #1, the valves at #1 are both fully seated, yes?

as your tightening the rocker nut after you start to feel a little drag go 3/4 of a turn more.

Ok I have a question. When I shut my motor down I get oil out my dip stick tube. Is that from the bottom end building up pressure. How can I fix this.

Yes I have breathers. My crankcase might have to much in it. I always do 5 quarts and a thing of Lucas.

Yes I have breathers. My crankcase might have to much in it. I always do 5 quarts and a thing of Lucas. There's always a half of a quart that does not drain out of the engine. That means when you drain, change filter, and refill with 5 qts and a quart of lucas you actually have 6.5 quarts in a 5 qt system....not good.

You can't do them all at once

I made a 98 4.3 vortec carb. What I did was just went and bought the edelbrok intake, hei dist. and a edelbrok 500cfm carb. I'm not sure if the v8 dist. will work I got a Proform from summit for about $130. so I did it that way.
