Not all promoters pay attention to every rule either. It would be really helpful to talk to someone who's ran the same show your going to and find out which rules you really need to worry bout. Best advice I've seen on here in a while. I've made the mistake of showing up to a new show built to the rules and have everyone tell me when I get there that they don't inspect much or don't care about that etc...

Inspection for our compact class is done fast but mods have to not be too much and if possible hard to see Any ideas to beef up struts ?

Gonna be picking up a 92 hyundia excel this weekend. .. Have a week to build it ... Its a fair show ... New area so dont know what i can get away with and what i can't. .. Allowed bumper swaps and a 4 point cage ... Maximum 105" wheelbase for compacts any tips? Or what to watch out for?

2003 hyundai elantra 4cyl auto After 2 runs.. 5th of 18 and 6th of 24...first run front and rear knuckle broke, axle pulled out...second run fan rubbed hole in transmission line caught fire... drove on trailer. Must run stock fuel pump as it has regulator built into fuel pump assembly with no return line. Rear rockers were rusted... didnt seem to move much during second run though.

i will upload some more pics...i would run a bumper with shocks in the future.. it bent the frame a little few inches back but has not moved any farther it bent the passenger side in a little first derby so next derby i tried to hit with the driver side at a angle and i really dont think it will go much farther. really surprised me... core support pushed back a little on second run going to pull it out and reinforce it. It was a stock build so i was limited but i would definitely run one again. One thing i would definitely do is loop and or move the transmission lines so they dont get into the fan. Going to run the car again here in a little over a week. Would have maybe pushed the trunk pan up farther but its not dragging the ground or tires so decent car for stock build... If it makes it through the next stocker it will go against mods to finish it off.

Is there any danger running a gm fuel pump on an 01 Elantra, hardwired to the battery. I haven't been able to get it to fire with the Hyundai pump, turns over but pump will not prime. The relay is good. Is there a vacuum issue ? Lots of vapor lines coming off stock fuel tank....The car ran before I removed pump from stock tank and installed in boat tank. I have An 01 Buick.century pump I know works
