Kias don't seem to have the junk collapsing struts that the Hyundais do.

Anyone ever run a 2004 Kia-optima,v6 auto,107000 miles soft at all four corners, google image search optima crashes.110 wheel base that shares its platform with hyundais.so i would expect any and all hyundai problems to carry over.found this on wikipedia.late 90s to late 2000s saw lots of car companys try to cut down on engine size.not by displacement or anything, but by taking weight off parts.hyundais have thin connectiong rods, tuners found this out when boost gets crazy. these are just things i found on the interenet, and have seen over time.in the real world, heat isnt a factor.nor is running thirty pounds of forced induction.but at a derby, running hot is a must.and most hyundais cant do it.i wouldnt expect anything more then a one and done.

I don't know about strength but I do know the drive trains in these things hate life most of the time with ideal operating conditions. There was a reason they use to have buy one get one free specials on Kias. Go have fun with it.

These are not terrible cars, just best for chain and bang/stock type shows. IMO

I'm building a 2000 Hyundai Accent hatchback right now. I'll try and get some detailed pics up as we tinker with this thing.
