Depends on your personal comfort level with wiring. Don't exceed that level. My above engine, trans and wiring are out of a 94 Cavalier.

And also do you guys notch the subframe on these? Or what other things help make them go up. Cause every a-body car I've seen plows straight down after one hit Sub, no. Rear uni-rails, yes. Is there a certain spot that you would say is the best on the rails for notching? Doing mine tomorrow

Did mine right in front of the rear bumper shocks, along with a slight pre bend and tuck.
Btw, those pix are after getting 1st out of 10.

So I ran my car up and down the dirt road next to my house today. I only went up and back so I maybe went a quarter mile. When I was about to put it in reverse, it stalled. So I let it sit for a minute then cranked and nothing. Did it again and it fired but was a little weak. So then I just putted back to the house and parked it. I realized that when I parked it, it was extremely hot. I had just topped it off with water to. The rope hose was burning up my hand when I touched it. I did gut the thermostat and put it back in so could that be what's causing it to get so hot? And any ideas on why it would stall like that? Hope I'm not buggin you guys with all the questions lol

Might have stalled from being hot. With the engine reasonably cool, remove the radiator cap, fire it up, let it warm & check for big bubbles in the coolant.

So I think I figured out why it's overheating so much. On the inlet side of the radiator has a leak all the way down. When you run it the water sprays out. I have a bottle of stop leak but I don't know if that would plug it. What about pepper?

Stop leak, eggs, oatmeal, pepper, long cut chewing tobacco. I've used all with a certain degree of success. Never 100%. Better off repairing it or finding a different radiator. If it's spraying out, it's probably beyond stop leak type solutions.

Had good luck on brass radiators but that's it.

Yeah, if it's a cracked plastic tank, invest in a plasti-weld kit, replace the tank, or replace the radiator. The other stuff will work on aluminum or brass, but not plastic.

Think I could've blown a head gasket somehow. Pulled car back into garage and it wouldn't start. Sprayed starting fluid in the intake and it fired but there was a big cloud of white smoke from the exhaust. It has oil and all other fluids are good. Is there anything else that could cause it? Derby is thursday and my local advance auto can have the gasket here next morning. How hard are they to replace on a 2.8 v6?

Is the oil milky? Water in the oil?is the oil level over full. Would all be sighns of a blown head gasket.

I used a product called blue devil head gasket sealer im my daily driver. Used about 10 k miles afo and still holding strong. It was about 30 bucks. Might be worth a try rather than replacing the gasket on possibly a warped head.

Ran the car tonight but for some dumb reason I had the vent on the tank closed so I was out in a matter of a minute or so. Got back to the pits to try and get ready for the consi so we opened it and it seemed to idle fine but would die when out in gear. Then we realized the map sensor was off. Plugged it in and it ran really rough. Unplugged it and seemed fine until I tapped the gas and let off and the car ran up to 5-6k rpm all by itself. Anyone have any ideas or if you can bypass the sensor somehow? I know it's important but are they're any ways to bypass? Need help ASAP. Thanks

And it almost sounds like the auto choke is stuck. (Doubt the car has one). And could running with no vent cause the map sensor to go bad?
