I have also had a crank sensor wire shorted to the block from insulation chewed up from squirrels. I always hot wire the icm to make sure it doesnt loose 12 volts.

^ive done the same. Hotwire the pink straight to the battery with a switch to give the ICM 12v. New crank sensor, wires are all intact. Harmonic balancer is good and clean with no bent reluctant rings. Gapped the CPS on the reluctant rings. All fuses are good, all grounds seem to be fine. I’ve changed to a brand new icm, and took 3 off of 3 running cars with good coil packs and I have yet to get any fire with a noid light. Check engine code still shows a hard 12 “no distributor reference pulse”

Helping basically my brother in law build a 93 century.
Does anyone know if a gusseted 80s ford bumper would be too hard on the front in a windshield class?
Have a gusseted front/rear box bumper, a bubble ford bumper and the stock steel one.
Was leaning toward the bubble ford as it looks harder than the factory Buick but softer than the boxes. The car is surprisingly very clean.

Either bumper would be fine but I wouldn’t mount anything harder than that the fronts will not take the abuse I would also ditch the factory shocks if you have the Vic ones and put them further in the frame of you can

Just for future reference, d slots from a ranger fit these quite well with 23s.

Are there any bumper brackets that bolt on to these with a bigger plate on the front? It's a 93 Cierra. Just looking for something bigger to mount a bumper to that is stock looking.

I don't believe there is, what I do is figure out the size I want, cut, then drill. That is the only recommendation that I have for you.

Ok, Thanks. I was hoping something else would fit. Guess I will figure something out.

Anyone know where I can get a 2.5 simplified harness, or even know what wires you need to make the car run ? Had a fire under the dash and burnt the computer and some wires, turns over but blows fuses and won’t start

Hey, I’m running my 91 Pontiac 6000 LE in the minis class for the derby, last year we prepped it, new fuel pump, relocated everything nessesary, chained motors, and made upper motor mount solid, and built custom front/rear bumper. When it came time for the derby I got hit in the front tire which busted my tie rod, and pinched my tire against the strut, I was a sitting duck, for this year how can I build solid struts with more clearance than the stock suspension, as well as fold the trunk, everyone’s talking about pinching, notching it then packing the trunk, can anybody clarify what the steps are for that. And any extra tips for this year, not trying to be the 3rd one out again.
