So long as the scanner is obd1 compatible and your aldl connector is intact. Safe to assume that the dash and check engine light are gone, yes?

Fried ignition module was the culprit. Of course it can't be a declo style which I have a dozen of, so here goes 129$. Picked up a olds 98 for that part but it was fried as well, which makes me wonder if a coil pack will make that car run too.
Side note picked up a Pontiac 6,000 for the struts, and it has a different bolt pattern than my century. Wtf ? Thought they were the same platform.

The earlier fwd A bodies have the small pattern, same as the Cavaliers, Corsica's, etc. Maybe this can help with your ignition problem. Someone here was kind enough to share it with me.............

Considered this already but would have to change the plug on the engine harness and idk if it'd be a red wire to red wire kind of deal or not. I hate messing around with wiring anyhow. Thought it'd be good to spare of each type anyhow. Btw found out the old delta 88 wasn't running because of the ignition module. So the parts car runs as well. Anyone ever build a h body ? Looks a lot beefy like a lumnia, plenty of room in front and round the motor.

Does anyone know if hot wiring the coil packs on a 3.8 will work ? Got a donor motor with the carb intake and dizzy but if I can hot wire it's save a bunch of hassle. so maybe it was a dumb question but yes hot wiring the coil packs is possible on a 3.8, found that out the other night when I tried to start my car without the computer plugged in, still sparked.

That's great news. How did you do it? And what about the injestors...do they still work?

Anyways just hooked everything else up to fire it up and hadn't noticed I neglected to hook the computer back up, still fired could tell my a spark indicator light but wouldn't start. Took bout 5 minutes before I realized why it wouldn't start.
