Do you do anything to the motor mounts and tie rods steelman?

Well about that. The first run we welded the front and engine side mount and left the rear alone. Big mistake. I haven't done tierods yet but going to as they are starting to bend.

Run 2. 4th out of 8 hard cars. Frame bent hard but we r gonna pull it out and plate it good.

Replace with good steel bumpers notch rear frame and tuck trunk good drippy tires and posi front end. I recommend tractor style tires cause they aren't as heavy as skids.

So has anyone looked into building one of these 2.3 motors up like the other version. How much difference is there and can you swap the head to get away from that intake setup and make it easier to put a header on as well as a carb

I haven't looked into it too much. I would like to know how to fit headers on it, without having to pull the motor.

Hey zdg dec headers says they have a set that will fit but i havent purchased a set as i need to find another tempo or topaz to put them on i am also thinking of making one carbureated also. Has anyone done this yet

i am also thinking of making one carbureated also. Has anyone done this yet 84's were carbed from the factory and Canadian models ran them up till 87 IIRC. The US cars ran your typical 80's Ford TFI distributor and timing was controlled through the EEC-IV ECU. I believe the Canadian spec cars came with a vacuum advance dizzy which a quick check on rockauto shows is still available.
